About Me: I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and have acquired additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition to using these modalities, I also use Emotion-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. I became a therapist because, just like you, I am human and have had my fair share of battles. It took a long time for me to get to where I am today. I became a therapist because, in moments of hopelessness, it is hard to find determination. I became a therapist because I saw the stigma that is still associated with mental illness. I became a therapist to help others because depression can be scary, anxiety can be overwhelming, and traumatic experiences can leave one feeling exhausted. I hope to accompany you on your journey, whether it is a process of self-understanding, self-exploration, managing changes in life, or simply just needing a safe space to gather your thoughts and feel empowered. Having been a client myself, and a therapist later, the process of healing can be a rewarding experience for both, the client and the therapist. I want to walk alongside you in this journey. I want you to feel heard, relevant, connected, and valued. Our lives can be full of meaning and purpose - we just have to find it! LifeCycle Counselling offers therapy for four specific areas: (1) Individual Therapy: Individual therapy addresses a wide range of issues, such as: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, culturally sensitive therapy, mood disorders, parenting, stress, self-esteem issues, racism, behavioural issues, trauma, and so much more! I hope to walk with you through this process, regardless of what your challenges may be. (2) Infertility and Fertility Counselling: Fertility-related challenges can take an emotional toll on an individual. Not only can it impact one's mental health, but often times, it impacts our relationships and physical health as well. Let me support you as you sort through your options: coping with infertility, seeking treatment, starting or stopping your treatment, and learning to move forward. (3) Pregnancy, Prenatal & Postpartum Therapy: With maternal mental health becoming more prevalent nowadays, many expecting and new parents struggle in silence. I can support you during pregnancy as well as offer a safe place to discuss your experience related to postpartum, parenthood adversity, and adjustment to motherhood. I hope to help you feel empowered. (4) Group Therapy Programs: Group therapy programs are led by one or more therapists that strive to help a small group of clients as a group. Group therapy programs offer a safe place where individuals who share similar struggles can come together to work through their challenges while receiving tools and guidance from the therapists.
