Dr. Mino is a Chiropractor, neurofunctional acupuncture practitioner and a Champion Performance Specialist who is passionate about providing high quality care to patients of all ages so they can get back to doing what they love. She obtained her Bachelors of Kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary prior to completing the Doctor of Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Dr. Mino's clinical practice focuses on acute and persistent musculoskeletal injury prevention, management, rehabilitation and performance training. Her personal philosophy as a health care provider is rooted in taking a global and evidence-based approach to helping her patients function optimally while empowering them to be active participants in achieving their health goals. She has a strong interest in sport injury management that stems from her high involvement in competitive soccer for 17-years, including two-years of womens varsity. Dr. Mino has first-hand experienced all of the steps (and accompanying emotions) involved in the process of proper injury recovery, which allows her to understand injuries from an athletes perspective. Having the right manual therapists in her corner throughout her athletic career allowed her to do what she loved for many years, and inspired her to pursue a career where she could one day be the therapist in your corner, keeping you functioning optimally and on the right track. Dr. Mino integrates a variety of techniques in her treatment plans including: - Electro-acupuncture - Soft Tissue Therapy - Spinal & Extremity Joint Mobilization & Manipulation - Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) - Cupping Therapy - Comprehensive Exercise & Rehabilitation Programs - Kinesiology and Athletic Taping Whether you are a weekend warrior or a high level competing athlete, Dr. Mino follows a performance therapy model which emphasizes restoring mobility, optimizing control and building capacity. Treatment is always tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient.
